Product Details

You need a motor that's going to get you there faster. That is why you are on this page. You found the correct spot because this motor is about the fastest one available for Club Car without converting to AC. The Club Car 48-Volt IQ and I2 Excel Speed and Torque Motor is a speed demon on and off the street. You can take this motor anywhere and expect it to perform. AMD has your back wherever you decide that golf cart needs to spend its life, from the posh-looking golf course to the down and dirty race track.

This golf car motor is a 48 volt 7HP @5106 RPM monster. Just to clarify, the higher the RM rating, the faster you will go. The lower it is, the more torque you can achieve. This is a 10 spline unit for easy mounting but make sure you upgrade to 4-gauge cables throughout the cart, and a high amperage solenoid is required. Call Buggies Unlimited and make the right choice today.

Is this the AMD beast motor?

We installed this in our club car with a 800 amp controller. With one person sitting in the back it will pull a wheelie. Low speed (like trying to crawl over rocks) it has some pulseation in the motor. Car has big off-road tires and does 22 mph now as well. It doesn't say the beast on the motor anywhere tho.

What controller is needed for upgrade motor?

I used a 500 amp Curtis controller. Works well for me plenty of torque. Our buggy is mostly used in the woods. Buggies unlimited techs were great helping me set our buggy up. Very Happy 😃

I am looking to upgrade my 1999 club cart DS ingersoll-rand.  Will this motor fit?  How important are related controller upgrades?
