Cart Subtotal:
Let us be completely honest; we were astonished to see an aftermarket, not to mention an upgraded controller for the DCS system. Those things are increasingly hard to find parts for. EZGO only made these models for a few years. It was a design stepping stone that engineers at EZGO learned from to create the PDS cart. Aftermarket part generation companies usually overlook that model with the limited production, just because there is not a lot of business for it. Navitas was the saving grace. Now we can bring the DCS into the modern age stop dragging at the back of the pack.
The Navitas controller has BlueTooth capability, allows you to change settings, monitor battery voltage, view throttle output, and much more. Now a 440 amp controller is not something Navitas says you "need" to upgrade other components like the solenoid and cables when installing. But to be on the safe side, we have them available for your EZGO TXT DCS model; just ask your sales rep when you call.
I did because the directions said to. It seems to work well without it.
It works on mine It’s a 1999. I am impressed so far. The ragen braking works great going down hills. The 440 amps has really woke it up.
You can use the current batteries and upgrade later.
No, just pay attention to where the disconnected wires were connected (positive, negative etc.) Be sure your motor has a speed sensor before you buy the speed controller. ( Don't ask me how I know)
As long as you have the nine pin connector it will work.
The DCS drive system was only found on select E-Z-GO models. You can tell if your cart is DCS by checking the following:
Your forward/reverse will be a physical handle by your knees. You would also have a Tow/Run switch by your controller box currently, and your forward/reverse switch board would have a round, silver disc.
If your cart does not have ALL of these, then it is not a DCS system. It could then either be a PDS model (identified by a F/R on the dash) or a Series system (which would have the hand lever F/R, but no Tow/Run switch at the controller).
We have Navitas solutions for each of the systems as well, so let us know if we can help further!
