Cart Subtotal:
Electric motor replacements intimidate people. It's completely understandable, though. We are talking about a 60 plus pound object that mounts above your rear axle. Not to mention a five hundred dollar item is the last thing you want to drop, but this is not a hard job, though. Take it from the salespeople that participated in the Buggies Build-Off competition; if those pencil pushers could do it, it will be a walk in the park for you. Grab an E-Z-GO TXT 36-Volt PDS/DCS Motor from Buggies Unlimited and get after it.
This motorsports 2.25 horsepower at 2,565 RPM, which's a little better than the OEM stats, but we consider this our stock replacement motor for the 36-volt shunt carts. Make sure this is the correct motor for you. If you have a PDS cart, your forward and reverse switch will be on the dash; on the DCS, it's below your knees, but both models have a run/tow switch under the seat. If you meet these requirements, give Buggies Unlimited a call today.
This is a great question! This motor works for the DCS and PDS systems. The PDS system has a forward and reverse switch up on the dash, the DCS has a lever behind your legs on the body. Both of these systems have a run/tow switch under the seat on the passenger side. If you do not have a run/tow, this is not the right motor for you.
Hi Mark, I am not sure what that part number is from, we are not able to recommend any motor with that info.
Yes, that will work with your existing setup!
Thank you for your Question Lamar! This is a stock replacement motor, so it would preform just like the stock motor on your golf car did when it was brand new!
Hi Steven,
It's been a while since I replaced the motor and controller but, the wires coming from the center of the capped end of the motor are the speed sensor wires. They're heald in by a circlip. Just remove the speed sensor and install in the new motor.
The new motor does not come with it. Just
be careful not to pull the wires out of the sensor.
Hope this helps, Willie Adams
YOUR CURRENT MOTOR SHOULD HAVE AN I.D. PLATE ATTACHED TO IT. THE MOTOR IDENTIFICATION NUMBERS ARE ON THIS PLATE. THOSE NUMBERS TELL YOU WHAT REPLACEMENT MOTOR TO GET.
Just one circle clip where the speed controller slides into the motor housing. Speed controller cable and circle clip do not come with the motor, have to order separately. Motor works as well.
No, golf cart motors do not have reset buttons.
