There should be a serial # on the dash near the cup holders. It will start with a letter or 2 and have a bunch of #s following. The first 2 after the letter(s) are the year
Great tip James! Don, give me a call, we can trouble shoot it over the phone and see if there's anything else causing you an issue.
I’m pretty sure it’s a press in style fitting. Meaning it’s actually pressed in to the carb. Your best bet is to use something like a JB weld to put it back. Make sure none of the liquid mix gets in the carb. I Jane not used it on an aluminum to brass connection; but it might work
Hope this helps
This could be the igniter switch. Or the carburetor which is very simple to install. With the carburetor it will usually start but will not run at a low speed. Good luck !!

If it starts with starting fluid it’s definitely a gas problem.
First, un hook your fuel line from the carburetor, put hose into a cup or jar to catch the gas, unplug spark plug, put cart in neutral.
Crank the motor over and check fuel flow out of hose. Should get a good pumping flow out of it.
No or low fuel flow could be a blown lower gasket. That’s where your vacuum comes from to run the fuel pump.
Double check all hoses if you do have good fuel flow. Recheck carburetor. Spark plug.
You need more than 90 psi on a compression check for a cart to run well. 160 is very good. 90 would be rebuild time.
If you can't see gas flowing through the filter check all your hoses to make sure the clamps are tight because the way the pump works if you're sucking air your not going to pump gas
U can't you have one of 2 problems you have a hole or crack in the float which u will see if the float has fuel inside or the needle valves rubber tip is worn or missing. Suggest u replace with new needle valve.
When I ordered this carb it had everything needed for the repair. Worst case scenario, you got to your local parts store and grasp a roll of Fel-Pro gasket material and make your own. This was the right carb for my FE290 and it's been 2 years trouble free for me.
If fuel is reaching the carb, check for fuel in float bowl.if there is jets plugged,if no fuel needle and seat stuck or plugged
