If you found this page, we'd be willing to bet you've got a big hill to climb or a giant load to pull. Well, you came to the right place. Buggies Unlimited is the high torque heaven for your EZGO. Gas golf carts come down to one thing when you want to increase power without draining the kid's college funds. That would be the clutch. The stiffer your pulley is, the more torque you have. It does not get much more rigid than the EZGO 4-Cycle Upgraded High-Torque Driven Clutch.
How do you make your clutch stiffer? Put the starch away, please. It all comes down to the internal spring used to keep the pulley closed. The more ungiving that spring is, the more torque you will have. Word of warning, with every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you increase power, you will lose speed. Most of us could care less about breakneck lap times; getting up our driveway would be nice, though. Call buggies Unlimited for an EZGO 4-Cycle Upgraded High-Torque Driven Clutch.
I sent you a few photos, hope these help!
The 28 degree clutch helped my acceleration but did not change my top speed
driven clutch on mine came right off was not a wedge type fit. maybe I was lucky.
I did not...it will be tight but doable. This clutch made a huge difference on the ability of my cart for sporting clay events at facilities that have sand and hills
I didn't. I'd already put a new belt on it when the clutch first started slipping and used the same one when I replaced the clutch. Everything works as it should.
It should. These are pretty standard.
i put lift kit on my golf cart did not have any get up and go this solved my problem im able to pull small trailor with 50 gal of water in it I don't know about shaft I could not get my old one off so I carried it to local mechanic he attempted to pull old one off like I did it busted the new clutch slide right on my shaft like I said it works great
I cannot answer specifically, but the clutch is pretty universal, listing with the years of the golf cart it should work. I replaced one with this upgrade and works great.
There is some reduction in speed but it wasn't bad. I was okay with losing a little bit of speed to gain the pulling power. We climb a lot of steep hills with ours and it definitely helped with that!
