Cart Subtotal:
We need to know. Please don't act like you have no idea what we are talking about; take to the comments below and tell us why you need an 11.4 horsepower AMD series motor! Good golly, this thing packs a wallop of put-back power. When you press the pedal, be prepared to hang on because it will dang near pull the front tires off the ground. This will work for all-solid-state series carts. Please do not try to use it on a resistor coil system. It will melt all of them the first time you try and run it.
Now, for all the stuff, you will need to safely run this golf cart motor. A new solenoid is the first thing. Follow that up with a heavy-duty forward and reverse switch, so you don't melt a bunch of copper, new 4-gauge cables or bigger, and at minimum a 400 amp controller of your choosing. Call Buggies Unlimited and ask for sales today as they have premade kits that can save you money.
I installed this same motor on my 92 EZGO marathon and it works great. I have had mine around 6 months and have had no issues.
Yes it will.
I have the same motor with the curtis 500 amp controller and it runs 21 mph on 36 volt and plenty of torque.
This will not work on the 1986 model.
We would suggest motor 7119 for your 36 volt Club Car DS. At 36 volts, this motor has a 4HP output at 4150 RPM, and when paired with a 500 amp controller and other heavy duty electrical components can achieve speeds up to 23+ mph
This would not work on a Yamaha as it is for EZGo.
Yes I have the resistor coil on mine no issues and has the speed and torque we needed and I have seen that I am not charging my batteries as much.
36-volt (8-hp@1600 rpm), 48-volt (11.4-hp@2300 rpm)
Please call 888 444 9994 for tech support. Your cart probably has resistor coils.
