Product Details

Do you have family or friends who are constantly bumming rides? Is that the whole reason you bought that golf cart rear seat from us last year? Whatever the case may be, your stock suspension has taken a beating and is worn out. Every time your regulars climb on the cart, you watch the wheel wells almost bottom out. Get that problem fixed and them some with a set of the Yamaha Heavy-Duty Rear Shock. Your regular suspension would at least have a little give even when they were new. This is not good if you are going to be hauling people around all the time. The stiffer the shock, the better. These will make it seem like there is no give at all until you have two grown adults loaded in the rear.

This golf cart shock is not a hard part to install. Just because it is heavy-duty does not mean you need to take it to a shop with a press. Once you get the frame jacked up, you will have plenty of room. Call Buggies Unlimited and order today.

  • These are a must for carts with rear seats or cargo boxes
  • Fits Yamaha G2/G8/G9 & 2017-Up Drive2 Electric Only
  • If you have a 2007-2016 G29/Drive then you will need #6280 Rear HD Coil Springs

What is the length measurement from eye to eye of this shock?

Will these raise the rear end of my non lifted cart and stop it from squatting

Hi I have a Yamaha 2006 with the jake lift kit in it rear passenger seat also, my problem is I have tried different shocks in the rear and I still have the bottoming out problem when back seat is occupied , obviously I haven't bought the right shock yet. any info on what to purchase would be greatly appreciated ? thanks bob

My older Yamaha does not have the lift kit, but when I added the folding rear passenger seat I knew I needed to replace what looked to be the original equipment shocks. I chose this model shock absorber and am very pleased with the performance. I have had some full size adults sit there and have not experienced the bottoming out issue. I would recommend these as the coil over springs seem just right stiffness.

Can these be used on the front of my Yamaha G9?

Don’t know but they sure solved my problem pulling my trailer and other heavy loads.no more of the front of my cart coming up and changing the cam to where I were out my front tires unevenly.

What is the spring rate of this shock?

The shocks worked out really well with my lift kit conversion. I rate them very high. Well worth the money you spend on them, you won’t be sorry.

I have a 2013 cart , it is a two seater . But want to put shocks from a four seater on it to stiffin the ride . What shochs do I need to order ?

Hello, if you have a 2013 Yamaha, you would want to use item 6280 to achieve the results you're looking for.

I have a 2002 G20A cart with a 4lnch lift kit on it will this model work for this cart? By the way it is a six passenger

jeff i would recommend the part number 6280 springs for replacement on your g20

Will these work on a GAS POWERED 2020 Yamaha Drive2 (quiet tech engine)?  Description online says electric only

100 % They Will Work!
I Have a Gas Powered Golfcart
They are fantastic and strong

Made the difference I needed!

Thank You Buggies Unlimited 👊🏽💯

Will this fit a G-8A which is a G-8 gas Goff cart?

Hi, Yes these should work.

I have a Yamaha 2013 need heavy duty rear shocks with 6 inch lift  gas powered ?

HI, these will not work. You need #6280. These are what will work. A little of a pain to do. Make sure your old shocks are not leaking. You need to get the other springs off, and replace with these.

Have a 2018 Yamaha gas powered cart needs heavy duty shocks on rear what would you suggest?

HI, I believe that these will work. Might be a little hard to install, but think they will work.
