Cart Subtotal:
A carburetor operates with the suction created by the engine's regular operation to pull air and fuel into the cylinder. When you hit or release the gas pedal, this allows either more or less oxygen to enter the engine; for that to happen, the air moves through a narrow opening called a venturi. This creates the vacuum required to keep the engine running and assists the fuel pump in drawing the gas from the tank. The pump alone cannot deliver the go-juice on its own, which among a long list of other things, makes the Yamaha Carburetor for G2-G11 models a vital member of the keep-it-running team.
This golf cart part needs a lot of love over its life; you will constantly clean it and repair it, especially if you choose not to use ethanol-free gas. Even with the blue pump only, you are still going to be up against the odds with your carbs; it's the nature of the beast. That is why Buggies Unlimited makes the whole unit affordable. Do not waste your patience trying to fix it, just replace it.
The best way is to find the serial number on the cart. Then find a serial number chart to determine the year. I recently found mine on my G2. I had to jack it up and look on the frame rail under the rear bumper.
