Product Details

The clutch on your golf cart is a vital tool in making things move. There are actually two of them, and the belt hangs between the two. As the engine spins up the front clutch, it starts to suck in. This is thanks to centrifugal force and internal weights that expand with increasing RPM. As this happens, the belt is pulled farther and farther down into the secondary clutch. This is what makes the wheels turn. If you have a problem with that drive clutch, getting it off is not so easy without a Yamaha Primary Clutch Puller Bolt.

Your clutch is a press fit. This does not mean that you need some fancy tool to install it too. The average golf cart hold-down bolt will do the job with no problem. The crankshaft is held onto is tapered, so as you tighten it down, it automatically presses it onto the shaft. Get one coming to your house today from Buggies Unlimited and save a bunch.

Worked great
This worked great. Got the clutch off no problem. Metal is very soft. The tip deformed after single use. I wouldn't recommend this to a professional.

Somewhat soft
Soft steel. This photo depicts ONE use. It worked to get the clutch off but may be unusable to use on another clutch.

Expensive but necessary
Probably the right tool for the job and much needed, however it's on Amazon for $18 + shipping... so your choice, but it's definitely a must for working in your golf cart

What is the thread size of the puller for the primary clutch?

I do not have the bolt here, so no answer. Our Problem was that we damaged the replacement clutch. The puller bolt was not the right size for that clutch.

Will this clutch puller work on a G5 Golf Cart? If not do you sell one that will?

The info states that it will work on a G1 thru G22, G5 falls within G1 thru G22, therefore I do not have a reason that it would not work with the G5.
It worked perfectly on my cart.
