Product Details

Get your motor running and head out on the highway, but not if your Club Car Key Switch for the Precedent isn't working. This is the very first step that it takes to get things in motion. If you don't close this relay, you will not complete the activation circuit. Long story short, this means the solenoid will not click. This golf cart part is what allows your controller to get positive power. If you do not contact the key to activate it, you are dead in the water.

There are so many things that this golf cart key switch gets the ball rolling for. First, your Club Car controller is looking for a signal from this item before distributing any power around the caddie. Second, the controller takes all of the energy from the batteries and then sends it variably to the motor to control acceleration. This creates a unique condition where amperage will rise when the voltage is low, giving you sharp acceleration. As you near top speed, everything equalizes and uses less battery charge. However, none of his can happen without the key relay.

Getting this Club Car part installed is not an issue at all. You only need a basic set of tools. You should not have to remove the dash to do this, but we have seen stranger things. If you need hardware to put it back together, you can get that here as well. The wiring is elementary; it will be identical to what you had on your golf cart before. We would highly recommend taking a picture of the position of the cables before you take the old one-off. If you need a Club Car OEM manual to walk you through it, ask one of our experts to include one on this order for you. Give us a call at Buggies Unlimited today.
