Will this work for 48 Volt 2004 club car IQ DS?
Douglas M on Jul 16, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The V- glide does have 2 extra posts for extra resistor coils for higher amperage using a 48 volt system.
My 2003 club car lurches forward when I put it in forward without pushing the foot pedal? Batteries get hot when this happens. It has a new f-r switch and solenoid. Thanks, Mike

BEST ANSWER: I would check for correct wiring of the v-glide switch. The switch has 8 contacts for the wiper to make contact with. the bottom two must not be connected to the resister wires. Only connect the top six as follows.
Connect the black wire to the very top contact, connect the blue wire to the next one down, connect the green wire to next one down, connect the yellow wire to the next one, connect the orange next and the white one last. leave the two bottom contacts open. This assumes that the resister bank is wired correctly. looking at the resister bank from the drivers side. the wires must be as follows. starting from the drivers side, white,
orange, yellow, green, blue and black. There are excellent wiring diagrams available on the internet, Hope this helps John

What happens when a V-Glide switch goes bad?
Bruce M on Jun 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi Bruce, I experienced the throttle starting to feel not as smooth and eventually it totally failed. The contacts became overheated due to high electrical resistance and started to melt the plastic that supports the contacts. The misalignment of the contacts increased the problem and eventually caused the failure of no power to motor. Helpful to keep contacts free of dirt and grim and file down if uneven.
