Cart Doctor Recommendations:
Whenever you add heavy items to your golf cart (such as cargo boxes, rear seats, lift kits, and more) or if you plan to haul hefty loads with a trailer hitch, I recommend installing Heavy-Duty Leaf Springs. They help carry the weight load on your golf cart, so it can handle the burden. Plus, Heavy-Duty Leaf Springs won’t overextend and break.
Remember, if you order new Heavy-Duty Leaf Springs, you also need to purchase new U-Bolts, because the old ones won’t be long enough to fit. I also highly recommend getting new Leaf Spring Bushings and a Leaf Spring Spacer with the new springs. Old bushings and spacers wear out and deteriorate over time, causing noise and excessive play in the spring.
