Product Details

Keeping the vintage carriage running with golf carts parts like the Yamaha Reed Valve for G1 Models is a goal of ours. We refuse to believe that just because something is old, that we should forget about it. Did you know most retailers consider anything from the early '90s or before as antiquated? We take offense to that! All of us fall into that category, and if you don't, you should probably get to class before the bell rings. We prefer a softer term than old. It just sounds so final. You can call us seasoned or experienced but stray away from the "O" word.

When you have an older caddie, staying current on your seasonal maintenance is critical. If you can keep the essential things replaced, you will avoid replacing things like the Yamaha reed valve for a long time. On a two-cycle engine, it is easy to neglect. Especially if you mix your gas and oil before putting it into the tank. This is the method we recommend for most carts. The OEM oilers were notorious for over our under mixing and causing problems with this item and many others. Do yourself a favor and mix the gas ahead of time, just like you do for your string trimmer. Just make sure you only use a hundred to one ratio. Only one ounce to 1.5 ounces to a gallon at max.

This Yamaha part is not a walk in the park to replace. We would be remiss if we told you you would get it done in a half-hour by yourself. You will need help from a friend, hopefully, one who knows their way around a two-cycle engine. Give us a call at Buggies Unlimited and talk to an expert who can break down the process for you. We are ready and waiting for your call.
