Product Details

Your Club Car Solenoid Diode for years 90 and up is an essential little item. To understand it, we first need to know what it protects. The solenoid on your caddie is an electromagnetically activated switch. On most carts, there is a constant negative or positive signal resting at all times on one terminal of the solenoid. The other sign is supplied when you run through the activation sequence, causing a clicking noise from the solenoid. What has happened is an internal movable contact has jointed the two more prominent posts together. The diode mounts between the two small posts and prevents a back feed of negative voltage down the positive line. This could cause a short and blow out a switch or even damage your controller.

The golf cart diode will indicate on one side of it that it does not have on the other small lines or red color or something along those lines. Make sure that this side of the Club Car part is bolted to the positive side. Call Buggies Unlimited today for additional help.
